"The key to an effective [Vivarious] Lullaby is to know your subject. If you don't know them, talk with their family, their friends, their shipmates, their battle brothers… talk to somebody," said the wild haired halfling as he shaved slivers of slowsilver into a bowl brimming with aromatic saffron and skyberry petals. "And be sure you're both going to be comfortable. You're going to be there for a few hours and the last thing you want is a lump under your cushion or to run out of things to say. Are we ready?"

As soon as the question left his lips he was already at his hand-drums, a small flame beneath the bowl that wasn't there a moment ago but may as well have been there all afternoon. That was the night Etufi Tonte taught me to jam and saved a thousand lives.

To cast Vivarious Lullaby a muse must:

  • Access the Note of Life (Biomancy), action determined by instrument
  • Perform intro, long action, this action takes 1 round
  • Perform lullaby suite, long action, this action takes 1 hour during which the caster can only continue this action
  • Perform lullaby segue, normal action, must be the round immediately after a lullaby suite
  • Effectate, short action, must be the same round as a lullaby segue
  • Record result of effectation
  • Repeat lullaby suite and lullaby segue if desired
  • Perform fading coda, normal action, must be no more than 1 round after a lullaby segue

The caster must play and sing constantly while casting this spell in a fashion that can be heard but will not wake their target and Vivarious Lullaby only affects sleeping targets. When the fading coda is completed the target is healed 1 HP/total successes from all effectations. No healing takes place until after the final note has faded.
